It was founded in 2011 by Ram Ravi Kaur ( Gerda Bakker), an award winning art-and creative director with more than 30 years experience in international communications.
She started out in Amsterdam working for all the major communication agencies, progressing to working internationally as a creative director with world-wide clients, founding one of the first international award-winning multi-media agencies along the way.
She returned to her first love, illustration, while studying to be a Hatha– and Kundalini Yoga instructor and Ayurveda therapist in Berlin for over 7 years.
While producing magazine concepts for Yoga & Health magazines, A Shilpins Life grew organicly, working for publishers – producing amongst others green sponsored book concepts – to coming up with a new tv- format for Vogue Publishing centering around spirituality & commerce.
Today, A Shilpins Life, based in Switserland, works together with a small, tight group of experienced artists – writers, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, scriptwriters, 3D artists, directors and producers – who are highly versed in the language of Yoga, Ayurveda, Sprituality, Health, Wellbeing and Natural Living.
